Project description
We operate a mid-size restaurant with about thirty tables and a busy kitchen, and we want to move away from paper menus toward a modern digital ordering flow. The idea is simple from the guest side: each table carries its own printed QR code, the guest scans it with a phone, and a clean mobile menu opens instantly in the browser with no app install. From there the guest browses categories, reads dish descriptions and photos, adjusts quantities, leaves notes about allergies or cooking preferences, and sends the order straight from the table. We want the whole experience to feel fast and effortless, because the goal is to shorten the wait, reduce mistakes in taking orders, and free our staff to focus on service rather than running back and forth with a notepad.
On the operational side the order must land immediately on a kitchen display screen, grouped by table and by preparation station, with clear status changes as cooks accept, prepare, and mark dishes ready. We need a lightweight table-management view for the floor so staff can see which tables are occupied, which orders are open, and which are awaiting payment. Payment should be handled either at the table through an online provider or by the waiter closing the bill, and the guest should be able to split or add items during the visit. This is specifically an in-restaurant tool, not a delivery shop and not an events or ticketing product, so the whole logic revolves around table sessions and kitchen flow.
Please treat this as a focused restaurant-vertical build with a menu editor we can manage ourselves. We will provide the full menu, photos, and branding.
— Table QR codes that open a mobile web menu with no app
— Menu editor with categories, photos, prices, modifiers, stop-list
— Orders routed to a kitchen display grouped by table and station
— Table management: occupied, open orders, awaiting payment
— Online payment at the table plus waiter bill closing
— Allergy notes, cooking preferences, and order splitting
