Membership site with paywall and gated premium content

I run a growing library of premium articles, tutorials and video lessons, and I want to turn it into a proper membership site where the best material sits behind a paywall. Free visitors should see teasers and a clear preview, but the full content only opens for members who hold an active paid plan. I am looking for at least three tiers, so a reader can start small and upgrade as they go, and each tier should unlock a different set of pages, categories and files. The core of this project is access control over content, not just taking a payment: I need the engine to know exactly who may read what, and to lock or unlock individual posts, sections and download areas based on the member's current level.

Member accounts are central. Each person needs a personal area where they can see their plan, renewal date, the content they have unlocked and their download history. I also want drip delivery, where a new subscriber receives lessons on a schedule rather than everything at once, for example one module per week across the first weeks of their plan. When a plan lapses or a payment fails, access to the gated material must roll back automatically and the member should be nudged to renew. Please build this cleanly so I can add new tiers and new locked sections later without touching the core logic. Recurring billing hooks can plug into a provider, but the heart of the work is the gating, the tiers and the member experience around them.
