Project description
I run events and training sessions and I want a web application that turns a passive room into an active one. The core idea is simple: I display a short join code or QR on the projector, the audience opens it on their phones, and within seconds everyone can vote in a poll or send a question. There is no app install and no account — people type the code, land on a mobile page, and start participating. The presenter controls the flow from a separate host screen, choosing when to open a poll, when to close voting, and when to reveal the outcome. What matters most to me is that everything feels instant and reliable when two or three hundred people tap at the same time.
I need several question types: single choice, multiple choice, rating scales, word clouds, and open text. Results must render as live charts that grow and reorder as votes arrive, projected full-screen with big, readable typography from the back of a hall. There should also be an audience Q&A mode where people submit questions and upvote each other's, so the best ones rise to the top and the speaker can address them in order. I want the presenter to prepare a set of polls in advance, arrange them in running order, and step through them without fiddling during the talk. This is not a survey widget or a static form builder — the whole point is the live, in-the-moment feel of a room voting together and seeing the chart move.
After each session I want a clean export of the results and questions so I can share a recap and reuse the same deck at the next event. Please describe similar real-time or audience-interaction apps you have built, the stack you would use for the live updates, and how you would keep the screen smooth under load.
— Join by short code or QR, no install, mobile-friendly voter page
— Question types: single/multiple choice, rating, word cloud, open text
— Live animated result charts for big-screen projection
— Audience Q&A with upvoting and presenter moderation
— Host controls: prepared poll order, open/close voting, reveal results
— Export of results and questions after each session
