Project description
I am finishing off part of my basement and want to add a full bathroom down there — toilet, shower or small tub, and a vanity sink. Right now the space is just open concrete slab and framed stud walls, nothing plumbing-wise has been touched yet. I need a licensed and insured plumber to handle the complete rough-in: drain lines, vent stack tie-in, and hot/cold water supply lines run to each fixture location.
The tricky part is that the main sewer line in the house sits above the level of the basement floor, so gravity drainage probably will not work for the toilet. From what I understand this likely means I need an ejector pump system (basin, pump, check valve, and a proper vent) to lift waste up to the existing stack. I would like your professional opinion on whether that is really the only option, or if there is a better way to tie in given the layout — I can send photos of the slab, the existing stack location, and the joist layout above.
Work needed: breaking a small trench section in the slab if required (or confirming if a raised platform approach is better for the toilet), setting the ejector basin, running PVC drain/waste/vent piping to code, running PEX or copper supply lines with proper shutoffs, and getting everything ready for inspection before we pour concrete patches and start framing/drywall. I will handle the concrete patching and finish work myself or with a separate contractor once your rough-in passes inspection.
Budget is realistic for rough-in labor and standard materials (I can supply some fixtures later, this job is about the pipe and pump work, not finish plumbing). I need this done within about two weeks since my framing contractor is waiting on your work to close up the walls. Please include in your bid: whether you pull the permit or I do, your estimate for the ejector pump equipment, and your available start date. Photos and a rough sketch of the basement layout are available on request.
