Project description
I own a personal watercraft that has been sitting in my storage unit for the season, and I need a mobile technician who can come out and give it a full detailing along with a basic mechanical check. The unit is stored about twenty minutes outside the city, and I don't have a trailer handy right now, so I really need someone who can bring their own equipment and work on-site rather than requiring me to transport the craft to a shop.
What I'm looking for is a thorough exterior wash and wax, oxidation removal on the hull, cleaning and conditioning of the seat and any vinyl surfaces, and polishing of the metal fittings and trim. The hull has some scattered scuffs and a bit of salt residue built up from last season that I'd like removed if possible, and I'd like a protective wax or sealant applied afterward so it holds up better in storage until I take it out again.
Beyond the cosmetic work, I'd like the technician to check the engine — inspect the spark plugs, look over the fuel lines and impeller, check the oil (it's a four-stroke), and flag anything that looks like it needs attention before the craft goes back in the water. I'm not necessarily expecting a full rebuild or major repair as part of this job, just an honest assessment of engine condition and hull integrity so I know what I'm working with.
I've budgeted a reasonable amount for this and I'm flexible on scheduling during the week, though weekends work best for me if the technician has availability. Please include in your proposal what products you use for detailing, whether you carry your own water and power supply for a storage-facility job like this, and roughly how long the whole visit would take. Photos of similar jet ski detailing work you've completed would be appreciated. I'd like this done within the next couple of weeks if possible, before the weather turns.
