Project description
I own a half-ton pickup truck and just bought a front-mount snowplow blade with a hydraulic lift kit that needs to be professionally mounted before the first snowfall. I am not looking for someone to plow anything — this job is strictly about physically installing and setting up the plow hardware on the vehicle itself. Please do not respond if you only offer snow-clearing or plowing services; I need an equipment installer, not an operator.
The scope includes bolting on the mount frame and push plate to the truck chassis, wiring in the control harness and headlight/light module, installing the hydraulic pump, hoses, and cylinder, and mounting the in-cab control panel. The blade itself is new in the box and still needs to be attached to the frame and angled correctly. I also need the hydraulic fluid checked and topped off, the system bled of air, and a full function test of raise, lower, and angle before you leave.
I would like the technician to come to my driveway with their own tools, torque wrench, and any fittings or brackets that are not included in the kit box (I will provide the receipt and part numbers). A basic electrical test of the plow lights and confirmation that the truck battery and alternator can handle the extra draw would be appreciated, along with a quick explanation of how to operate the controller.
Ideally this gets scheduled within the next couple of weeks so the truck is ready before temperatures drop. Please let me know your experience with aftermarket plow mounts (any brand is fine, mine is a standard universal frame), your estimated time on site, and whether you carry your own lift or jack. Photos of previous mounting jobs would help me choose. This is a one-time installation job, not a recurring plowing contract, so quotes should reflect labor and setup only — I already own all the hardware.
