Project description
We maintain backup power equipment for offices, warehouses and private houses — diesel and gas generators plus UPS units of different ratings. Right now every reminder about scheduled service goes through phone calls and a paper logbook, so oil changes get missed, battery tests happen late, and an owner often finds out their backup power is dead only when the mains actually go out.
We need a chat-bot that an owner can set up in a few minutes: enter equipment type, brand, model and rated power (or send a photo of the nameplate), and the bot builds a service schedule from that — oil and filter changes for generators, load testing and replacement intervals for UPS batteries, following the manufacturer's or the regulatory schedule. Ahead of each due date the bot should message the owner in plain language about what needs doing and why, then offer a couple of open slots for a technician visit and confirm the booking.
It would help if the bot also kept a short service history per unit, so it can be shown during a warranty conversation, and let one account register several pieces of equipment at once.
What matters most:
— correct maintenance intervals per equipment type and power class
— reminders sent through a messenger, not only by email
— simple booking flow with slot confirmation
— exportable service history for each unit
