Project description
We run a small land-surveying and geodesy business, and we still record every measurement on paper while our crews are out in the field. We need a system that lets those crews capture field data digitally — survey points, distance and angle measurements, elevations and GPS coordinates — directly on a phone or tablet while they are on site. Every recording must be tied to a specific job order, so that nothing gets lost or confused on the way between the field and the office.

Beyond the raw capture, we want the tool to turn those points into a usable drawing or map. It should plot the coordinates, let us sketch boundaries and features over them, attach photos to each station, and export a clean plan that we can hand to a client or import into our CAD software. Offline work is essential, because many of the plots we survey have no mobile signal at all, so the data has to sync automatically once the crew is back in range.

Finally, we need to track deliverables against every order: which surveys have been measured, which are drawn, which are checked, and which have already been sent to the client. A simple dashboard showing the status of every open job, along with who is responsible for it, would finally replace the spreadsheets and paper folders we depend on today.

— Offline capture of points, measurements, GPS and elevations
— Photos attached to each survey station
— Drawing and map export for CAD
— Deliverables status per job order
