Project description
We operate a pool maintenance company that cleans and services residential and commercial pools, and right now everything runs by phone and in a paper notebook. A customer calls, we write down the address and the day we promised to come, and by the middle of the week nobody remembers who is due for a visit or which technician is closest. We need a web application that turns this into a proper scheduling system: recurring service visits set up once as weekly, biweekly, or monthly plans, so the calendar fills itself for months ahead instead of being rebuilt by hand every time the phone rings. Each customer should have an account with one or more pools, and every pool should carry its own profile: volume, surface type, equipment, gate codes, access notes, and the assigned service frequency.
The second thing we care about is route planning for our technicians. Every morning a technician needs a clear list of the pools to visit that day, in a sensible driving order, with addresses and access notes attached, so nobody drives back and forth across the city. The system should group visits by day and by technician, show the route on a map or at least as an ordered list, and let a dispatcher drag a visit to another day or another person when someone calls in sick or a customer asks to reschedule. When a technician finishes a pool, they should be able to log the work right there from a phone: chemical readings taken (chlorine, pH, alkalinity), chemicals added, filters cleaned, and any problem noticed, with an optional photo. Those readings must be stored per pool over time so we can see the history and spot a pool that keeps drifting out of range.
Finally we need billing tied to the visits. Most customers are on a flat monthly plan, but some jobs are one-off repairs or extra chemical charges, so the system should generate invoices from completed visits, track what is paid and what is overdue, and let us send a monthly statement to each account. Please propose the stack and a rough timeline; a clean, mobile-friendly interface for the field crew matters as much as the office side.
