Project description
We run a hobby shop that sells trading-card games, board games and accessories, and we host in-store tournaments almost every week. Right now our stock lives in spreadsheets and our events are announced in a chat group, which no longer scales. We need a single web platform that turns our shelves and our game tables into one online business: a real e-commerce catalog for boxed products and sealed sets, a proper singles inventory where every card is tracked by set, rarity and physical condition, a buylist so customers can sell cards back to us, and an event calendar where players register for tournaments and pay entry fees online.
The catalog is the heart of the project. Boxed games and accessories behave like ordinary products with photos, descriptions, categories and stock counts, but singles are different: the same card can exist in several printings, in languages, in foil and non-foil, and in grades from mint to heavily played, each with its own price and quantity. Shoppers must be able to search and filter by game, set, rarity, color or type, condition and price, add mixed baskets of singles and boxed items, and check out with delivery or in-store pickup. The buylist works in reverse: we publish buy prices per card and condition, customers build a sell cart, and we receive an order to review, counter-offer and confirm. We want stock, buylist and the sales floor to share one source of truth so a card sold in the shop disappears from the site immediately.
The events side must let us create tournaments and casual game nights with a format, date, table cap and entry fee, open online registration with waitlists, take payment or hold a seat, and email confirmations and reminders. On event day we need a simple check-in and a way to record results and standings. Store owners get an admin panel for products, singles, buylist offers and events; customers get accounts with order history, saved decks or wishlists, and their tournament schedule. Please advise on the stack and give a phased estimate.
Core modules we expect:
— E-commerce catalog for boxed games and accessories with cart and checkout
— Singles inventory tracked by set, rarity, language, foil and condition grade
— Buylist with per-card buy prices and a customer sell-cart workflow
— Tournament and event scheduling with online registration, waitlists and fees
— Shared stock between the physical shop and the website
— Customer accounts, admin panel, payments, delivery and pickup
