Project description
We run a car dealership and right now every vehicle we own lives in a stack of spreadsheets that only two people know how to read. We need a proper inventory system tied to a sales CRM, built as one connected product rather than two tools bolted together. Each car should have its own record with make, model, year, mileage, VIN, trim, transmission, drivetrain, colour, condition, purchase cost and asking price, plus a gallery of photos and a set of specs that we can edit quickly when something changes on the lot. When a car is sold or reserved, its status must update everywhere at once so the public listings never show a vehicle we no longer have.
The front of the site should present the current stock as a clean, filterable catalogue: buyers browse by price, body type, year, mileage and features, open a detailed page with the full photo set and specifications, and leave a request or ask about financing. Every one of those enquiries has to land in the CRM as a lead, tagged with the car it came from and the channel it arrived through, so nothing falls through the cracks the way it does in our spreadsheets today. From there our sales team needs to schedule test drives against a calendar, log calls and messages, set follow-up reminders, and move each lead along a visible pipeline from new enquiry to test drive to negotiation to closed deal.
We are looking for someone to design and build this end to end: the vehicle inventory with photo and spec management, the public listings on the site, lead capture and follow-up, test-drive scheduling and the sales pipeline. It should be easy for non-technical staff to use daily, work well on phones since our salespeople are often on the lot, and give the manager a clear view of stock value and deals in progress. Please describe your relevant experience, a rough plan and timeline, and how you would keep the inventory and the CRM in sync.
