Project description
TentMaster is an operational web application for a firm that measures, manufactures, and installs retractable awnings and stationary commercial canopies. A client books a measurer's visit on a public website; the calendar by index directs the request to the nearest specialist and holds a two-hour window. On site, the measurer enters into the order card the projection, width, mounting height, wall type (brick, siding, plaster) and gap to soffit, takes photos and marks obstacles.
The heart of the application is the fabric and frame configurator. A client or estimator selects a frame series (manual drive, motorized, cassette or articulated arm), then fabric from a library of acrylic and mass-dyed samples, lambrequin style, tilt angle and options: wind sensor or bracket with LED lights. Each choice goes into the estimate calculator, which calculates by square footage of the shade cover plus motor, fasteners and labor categories, applies regional mounting coefficients and produces a branded PDF that the client accepts online with a deposit.
Accepted orders go to crew scheduling: the dispatcher assigns a crew of two or three installers, reserves a lift or scaffolding and builds a route by travel time. For each awning, a warranty record is created with terms for fabric and motor, and the re-covering service tracker marks products due for cloth replacement or spring tightening, so the shop can offer seasonal updates. The manager sees installed square footage for the month, average time from estimate to deal, and open warranty requests on a single dashboard.
