Project description
FairwayAce is a complete web application for a real disc golf course and its home club that brings together casual play, competitions and the shop in one place. A player opens an interactive map of the course with 18 baskets, clicks on any hole and sees its par, distance in meters, elevation change, recommended throw line and current basket position (A, B or C), then books a tee-time in the start grid that accounts for group size, daylight and intervals between groups to prevent fairway congestion. Players sign in with a seasonal or daily pass; the application checks pass validity, counts rounds played and automatically applies the club price. During tournaments, brackets are generated by elimination—single and double, seeding is by PDGA-style rating, and live digital scorecards update the leaderboard in real time via Socket IO; ties are settled by a prescribed playoff. Ace pots and CTP (closest to pin) games are tracked for each event. The pro-shop module manages disc inventory by model, plastic, weight and stability, handles reservations and checkouts, links purchases to player profiles. The league engine runs weekly pairings and singles standings, calculates handicaps and awards season points. The administrator gets a schedule console, registration scanner and results export. Built on PHP and PostgreSQL with a responsive interface that works on a phone right on the course.
