LedgerVault Client Portal for a Bookkeeping Practice

We run a small accounting and bookkeeping practice serving around 180 business clients, and we need a web application that replaces the mess of email attachments we currently drown in. The core of the project is a secure client portal where each client logs in, uploads scans of receipts, bank statements, and contracts, and sees exactly which documents we still need for the current period. Every upload should be encrypted at rest, virus-scanned, and tagged by fiscal year and category so our staff can find things fast. On the firm side we want a dashboard listing outstanding requests, overdue invoices, and clients whose paperwork is incomplete. The invoice tracking module must record what we billed, what was paid, and send polite automated follow-ups. A tax-deadline engine should calculate quarterly and annual filing dates per client type and push email plus in-app reminders well ahead of time, with a configurable schedule. We also need a two-way secure message thread attached to each document so questions do not scatter across inboxes. Please include role-based access (partner, accountant, assistant, client), a full audit log of who viewed or downloaded each file, and CSV export for our internal reconciliation. Integration with a common accounting ledger via API is a plus. Deliverables: responsive interface, admin panel, deployment on our server, and clear documentation.
