Project description
We are a small studio launching our first branded experience on Roblox and we need an experienced developer to take it from an empty place to a published, playable game. The concept is already sketched out: a themed multiplayer map where players complete objectives together, earn in-game currency, and unlock cosmetics. What we are missing is someone who can turn that document into clean, performant Luau code, wire up the client-server logic correctly, and make sure the whole thing feels smooth for twenty to thirty players in a single server. You will own the technical side end to end, from the DataStore that saves player progress to the round loop that keeps a session running.

The core scope covers gameplay systems, a working economy, and monetization through game passes and developer products. We expect a leaderboard, persistent player data, a shop UI, and at least three purchasable game passes tied to real gameplay perks rather than pay-to-win shortcuts. Anti-exploit hygiene matters to us: server-side validation of purchases and rewards, no trusting the client with currency, and sanity checks on remote events. We can provide draft 3D assets and UI mockups, but you should be comfortable assembling them, scripting animations, and handling the Roblox Studio publishing flow including versioning and a staged rollout to a test group before we go public.

Please share a portfolio of Roblox places you have shipped, ideally with visit counts or short clips, and tell us how you structure a project (modules, services, and how you keep RemoteEvents tidy). Milestone-based delivery is fine and preferred; we would rather pay against a working vertical slice than a big-bang handover. Ongoing tweaks and a maintenance window after launch are on the table for the right person.

— Multiplayer place in Luau for 20–30 players per server
— Persistent progress via DataStore with autosave and retry
— Economy: currency, shop UI, and a working leaderboard
— At least three game passes plus developer products, validated server-side
— Anti-exploit checks on all RemoteEvents and purchases
— Publishing, versioning, and a staged test rollout in Studio
