Project description
I have a residential solar panel system on my roof that has been running for a couple of years, and lately I've noticed a gradual drop in energy output compared to when it was first installed. I suspect the panel surfaces have accumulated dust, pollen, bird droppings, and general outdoor debris that is blocking sunlight and reducing efficiency, but I haven't had anyone take a proper look since installation. I'm looking for an experienced mobile technician who can come out to my home, safely access the roof, and perform a thorough cleaning along with a general maintenance check of the whole array.
Beyond a simple wash-down, I'd like the technician to inspect the mounting hardware, wiring connections, junction boxes, and inverter status indicators, and check the panels themselves for cracks, hot spots, or any signs of physical damage. A basic before-and-after performance reading would be very helpful so I can actually confirm the cleaning made a difference rather than just assuming it did. Safety matters a lot to me, so please bring your own harness, ladder, and appropriate liability coverage, and follow standard rooftop safety practices for the entire visit.
Ideally this can be handled in a single appointment, with clear photos taken before and after the work and a short written summary of what was found, what was done, and whether any follow-up repairs are recommended. I'm flexible on scheduling and can make the roof accessible on short notice, weekday mornings preferred.
What I need included:
— Safe removal of dust, pollen, and debris from every panel surface without scratching the glass or coating
— Visual inspection of mounts, wiring, connectors, and junction boxes for wear or looseness
— Inverter and output readings compared before and after the cleaning
— A short written report with photos and any maintenance recommendations
