Project description
We are a family looking for a patient and experienced tutor who can come to our home on a regular basis to work with our child on math and language skills. Our child has fallen behind in a couple of subjects, and we believe that one-on-one attention in a familiar, comfortable setting will help far more than group classes or after-school programs. We are not looking for a one-time session — this is meant to be an ongoing weekly arrangement that continues throughout the school term.
The ideal candidate has real teaching experience with children of a similar age, is comfortable adapting lesson plans to a child's pace, and can communicate clearly with both the child and us as parents about progress and problem areas. We would like someone who brings their own teaching materials and exercises rather than relying only on school textbooks, and who can suggest a realistic study plan with measurable milestones. Punctuality, patience, and a calm teaching style matter to us, since our child gets discouraged easily when a subject feels difficult.
Before committing to a long-term schedule, we would like to discuss availability, teaching approach, and pricing, and possibly arrange an introductory session to see how the tutor and our child get along. Please share your relevant experience and how you typically structure a lesson.
