Project description
Our company manufactures promotional stands, portable display stands and roll-up banners for trade shows, and the website needs an interactive calculator that instantly shows a client the total order cost. Right now managers calculate prices manually from a price list and only reply the next day, so we lose leads to competitors who already offer instant pricing on their sites.
The tool should let a visitor pick the construction type (mobile stand, roll-up stand, spider frame system, press wall), choose a size from a preset list of standard formats or enter custom dimensions, select the base material — from lightweight plastic to reinforced aluminum profile — mark the required turnaround (standard production time, expedited within two days, rush within 24 hours with a surcharge) and the quantity of units, then see the final total broken down by line item. The logic needs to apply a discount for orders of three sets or more and show an estimated completion date depending on current production load.
It's important that the calculator works correctly on mobile, since exhibition equipment buyers frequently submit requests from a tablet while preparing for an event. Once the calculation is complete, the form should send the request to a manager with all selected parameters attached so the context of the conversation isn't lost.
What needs to be built:
— selection of construction type, size, base and quantity with live price recalculation;
— rush-order surcharge and volume-discount logic;
— a responsive layout with a clean interface and no unnecessary fields;
— a request submission that carries all chosen parameters.
