Project description
We run a religious community and until now we have kept everything on paper: lists of members, family ties, donation envelopes and the schedule of services. The parish has grown, the folders no longer close and every question, who gave what and when, who volunteered for which ministry, turns into an evening of leafing through binders. We would like to move all of this into one calm, private web system that a few trusted people from the council can open from a laptop or a phone, without needing to be programmers to understand it.
The heart of the project is a member directory. Each person should have a card with contact details, the date they joined, their household, and a link between spouses, children and relatives so that a whole family can be seen at once. From the same place we want to record donations and tithes: a small form to log a gift, mark whether it was cash, a transfer or an in-kind offering, assign it to a fund or purpose, and print or send a tidy receipt. At the end of a month or a year the system should add everything up per person and per fund so we can report honestly to the community and to the people who gave.
The second half is life together: a calendar of services, meetings and holidays, sign-up sheets for volunteer groups, and simple announcements or reminders that reach members by the channel they prefer. We are not asking for anything flashy, but it must be reliable, keep personal and financial data safe behind logins with roles, and let us export our records so they are never locked inside one tool. Please describe your suggested approach, roughly how long it would take, and how you would handle privacy for a community that trusts us with sensitive details.
