Project description
We are a professional association, and for years we have tracked our members' continuing-education credits on shared spreadsheets. That approach has broken down: credit values are entered by hand, completions get lost between tabs, and every renewal season turns into a scramble to find who has met their requirement and who has not. We need a web application that replaces those spreadsheets and gives our staff and our members one reliable place to see where each person stands.
The system should hold a searchable catalogue of approved courses, each with its credit value, category, and provider. A member enrols, and once they complete a course the earned credits are added to their running total and counted toward the requirement for their membership class and renewal cycle. Every member needs a dashboard showing credits earned, credits still needed, and the deadline for meeting the balance. On completion the system should generate a certificate as a downloadable file, and send reminder notifications as a renewal date approaches so nobody is caught short. Accuracy matters most: the totals we show must be totals we can defend to a regulator.
