KiltMaster

KiltMaster is a web application for managing the rental of ceremonial Scottish clothing and kilts. A saved measurement profile is created for each client, storing the exact sizes used by the kilt fitter: waist at the high natural line, hips, kilt length from the top of the hip to mid-knee, chest circumference and jacket sleeve length, as well as shoe size for ghillie brogues. Profiles are reused, so a returning groom or bagpiper only needs to be measured once, and the next rental is arranged in minutes. The tartan and clan catalog is searchable by clan name, sett pattern, fabric weight and weaving mill, with regional and universal tartans collected separately for guests without their own clan. A set is assembled as a single package: kilt, jacket and waistcoat, sporran, pins and belt, socks and flashes, ghillie brogues, and the application checks the availability and correct size of each item before confirmation. Group wedding orders are the heart of the system: the coordinator manages one order for the groom, groomsmen, fathers and page boys, assigns a common tartan, sees who has been measured and who still needs to send measurements, and tracks the unified countdown to the wedding day. Rental periods, return dates and cleaning time are shown on a live board, so staff always knows what has been issued, what will soon be returned, what is being cleaned and what is ready for rental again. Deposit management includes card holds, damage assessment upon return and automatic refund processing after inspection. Late returns, penalties and reminder letters are handled automatically, and the entire system runs on the familiar PHP and MySQL stack with a convenient staff panel.
