Project description
MountTrack Studio is a custom web application built for a working taxidermy shop that turns hunters' trophies into finished mounts. The intake module records each specimen with species, sex, estimated field weight, condition notes, entry wounds and the requested mount type: shoulder mount, full body, European skull, rug, pedestal, life-size or fish replica. Every job gets a numbered tag that follows the specimen through the whole pipeline. The workflow board tracks each project through the real stages of the craft: freezer intake, skinning and fleshing, salting, pickling and tanning, form fitting and mounting, drying, then finishing, airbrushing and habitat base work. Staff move cards between stages, log hours and note which capes went to the outside tannery and when they returned. A freezer storage log maps chest and walk-in freezers by shelf and bin so nothing is lost during the months a hide waits for tanning, and it flags specimens approaching freezer-burn risk. Deposit payments are handled up front with a balance due on pickup; the system tracks partial payments, generates invoices and sends reminders. Clients log into a private gallery to watch reference photos, in-progress shots and the final piece, approve pose and habitat choices, and download a care sheet. Deliverables include the responsive PHP application, admin dashboard, species and price catalogue, email and SMS notifications, role accounts for owner and assistants, and printable intake tags and receipts.
