Project description
We run a service website and want to add a proper live-chat widget so visitors can reach our support team from any page. The widget should load fast, look consistent with our existing design, and behave sensibly on both desktop and mobile. This is not an AI chatbot project: we want real conversations handled by our own agents, backed by a helpdesk so nothing gets lost. When a chat is missed or arrives after hours, it must turn into a support ticket automatically instead of disappearing.

The core of the task is a clean integration between the chat widget and our helpdesk/ticketing system. Incoming conversations should create or update tickets, keep the full history in one place, and let agents reply from the helpdesk. We would like canned replies (saved responses) for the most common questions, routing rules so chats reach the right team or person, and business-hours logic that shows an online state during working time and an offline form otherwise. A visible link to our knowledge base should appear inside the widget so people can self-serve before starting a chat.

Please treat data handling carefully: use secure connections, respect the cookie and privacy notices we already have, and keep credentials out of client-side code. Deliverables include the working widget on the live site, the configured helpdesk connection, documented settings, and a short handover so our team can maintain it.

— Live-chat widget installed site-wide, matching our current design
— Two-way integration with a helpdesk/ticketing system (chats become tickets)
— Canned replies, routing rules and agent assignment configured
— Business-hours online/offline states with an offline contact form
— Knowledge-base link inside the widget for self-service
— Documentation and a short handover session for our staff
