Project description
Our team runs most of its day-to-day work inside Notion, but the workspace does not talk to anything else. Right now people copy numbers by hand, paste order details into pages, and forget to update statuses, so the boards drift out of date within hours. I am looking for a developer who can build a real Notion API integration that keeps everything in sync automatically. This is not a request to tidy up our workspace or design nicer templates; the structure already exists. What we need is code that reads from and writes to our Notion databases reliably, respects our field types, and does not create duplicate pages when something runs twice.

The core of the job is a two-way sync between Notion and our external tools. When a record changes in Notion, the matching record in the other system should update, and the other way around as well. On top of that, we want new Notion pages created automatically from incoming form submissions and webhooks, with the right properties filled in and linked to the correct related databases. Finally, we would like a small dashboard that shows sync status, recent activity, and any errors, so the team can see at a glance that the automation is healthy instead of silently failing.

Please describe your experience with the Notion API, how you handle rate limits, retries and pagination, and how you keep the sync idempotent. Share examples of similar integrations if you have them. The budget and timeline below are a starting point and can be adjusted for the right approach.

— Two-way data sync between Notion databases and our other tools
— Auto-create Notion pages from form submissions and webhooks
— Correct handling of property types, relations and rollups
— Idempotent writes with no duplicate pages on retries
— A lightweight dashboard for sync status and error logs
— Clear handover notes so we can maintain it later
