Project description
I run a small studio that paints custom pet portraits and I need a developer to build an online price calculator for my website. Right now I work out every quote manually in chat messages, which takes time and often confuses clients — they cannot see upfront what makes up the final price, so a lot of visitors simply leave for a competitor whose site already shows numbers.
The calculator should walk the client through the order parameters step by step and recalculate the total price live, in US dollars, showing clearly what each choice adds to the cost. It has to work just as smoothly on a phone as on a desktop, and the finished calculation should be sendable to me by email or messenger with one click, without reloading the page.
I need a working widget that can be embedded into my existing WordPress site, plus a simple admin panel where I can update base prices and multipliers myself without calling a programmer every time.
Requirements for the calculator:
— portrait size selection (several presets from A5 to A2, plus a custom size input in inches);
— technique choice — pencil, watercolor, oil — each with its own price;
— number of pets in one portrait (from one to five, with a surcharge for each extra animal);
— turnaround speed (standard, expedited, rush) with a percentage markup;
— optional frame (none, wooden, mat frame) with a fixed add-on price;
— live price recalculation whenever any parameter changes, no page reload;
— responsive layout that works well on mobile devices;
— sending the finished calculation as a request by email and messenger;
— a simple admin panel for editing base prices and multipliers.
