Project description
I'm looking for an experienced mobile developer to build a meditation and sleep app for iOS and Android. The idea is simple: a calm, distraction-free space that helps people fall asleep faster, breathe through stress during the day, and slowly build a regular practice without gamification gimmicks or aggressive push notifications.
The app needs timed audio sessions with a gentle countdown and smooth fade-out, a breathing exercise module with visual pacing such as an expanding and contracting circle synced to inhale and exhale, a library of looping nature sounds for sleep like rain, ocean waves, wind and white noise, and a simple statistics screen showing streaks, total minutes practiced and consistency over weeks and months.
Offline behaviour matters: once a session or sound pack is downloaded it should work without a connection, since most people listen at night in flight mode. The interface should stay minimal, low-light friendly, with a true dark theme and no jarring colours or interruptions once a session has started.
What I'd like from you:
— a small prototype first: timer, one breathing exercise, one sound category
— clean, documented code and a short note on the chosen architecture
— a plan for background audio playback and lock-screen controls
— your estimate of timeline and cost, broken down by feature
Please share similar projects you've built, especially anything with audio playback or offline caching.
