Project description
We run a bricks-and-mortar key cutting and lock hardware shop and want a full web platform that moves most of the counter workflow online. The heart of it is mail-order duplication: a customer photographs an existing key or types in the stamped key code, our system matches it against a catalog of blanks, house keys, mailbox keys and automotive transponders, then a locksmith confirms the profile before anything is cut. The catalog must be searchable by key type, brand, keyway and chip family, with clear diagrams so people pick the right blank. Ordering supports single duplicates and bulk jobs for property managers who need dozens of matching keys for a building, with a spreadsheet upload and per-unit pricing. A booking module lets clients reserve an in-store pickup slot or schedule an on-site rekeying appointment, checking the calendar of available locksmiths and sending reminders. Every order carries a status timeline — received, verified, cut, quality-checked, ready or shipped — so the customer can track progress and staff can update it from a simple back-office queue. Photo uploads are stored securely and purged after fulfilment. Deliverables: responsive storefront, the photo/code intake and matching flow, transponder catalog with filters, booking and appointment calendar, bulk order tool with approval, order tracking, payment integration, an admin dashboard for the counter team, and clean API endpoints for future mobile use. Please include installation notes and a short manual for shop staff.
