Project description
Our company signs dozens of agreements every month and right now everything lives in scattered folders, email threads and personal drives. We are losing track of who approved what, when a contract expires, and which version is actually the final one. I want to hire a developer to build a proper contract lifecycle management system that carries a document from the first draft all the way through approval, signature, active term and renewal, so nothing slips through the cracks again.
The core is a library of reusable clause and contract templates that non-lawyers can start from, with variable fields that get filled in per deal. From there a configurable approval workflow should route each draft to the right people in sequence or in parallel, capture their comments and their sign-off, and keep a full audit trail of every change. Once approved, the contract goes out for electronic signature with legally sound consent capture and a tamper-evident record of who signed and when. After signing, the system must track key dates and fire renewal and expiry reminders well in advance, and store every executed document in a central searchable repository with full-text search, tags, counterparties, values and status filters.
Please note this is not a fillable-PDF or simple e-sign forms project. I need the whole lifecycle and the workflow logic around it, including roles and permissions, version history and reporting on what is pending, active or overdue. If you have built CLM or document-workflow platforms before, show me examples and tell me your recommended stack.
