Project description
We run a small city cafe and want to move from phone and messenger orders to a proper online ordering system on our own website. Guests should browse a structured menu, add items to a cart, choose exactly how they want each dish, pay online, and pick either pickup or delivery. This is not a static QR menu that only shows pictures and prices; it must actually accept and process paid orders from start to finish, so the whole flow has to be reliable and clear even for people who order in a hurry from their phone.
The most important part for us is the item configuration and the cart. Each dish needs modifiers and options: size, extra toppings, sauce choices, remove-an-ingredient, and a free-text comment for the kitchen. The price in the cart must update instantly as options change, and the totals, service rules, and any delivery fee have to be transparent before the customer confirms. After a successful online payment the order should be created automatically, the guest should get a confirmation with an order number and estimated time, and the order must appear immediately on a kitchen screen so our staff can start cooking without retyping anything.
The kitchen screen is the second half of this job. It should list incoming orders in real time with items, chosen modifiers, comments, order type (pickup or delivery), and a status the staff can move forward: new, cooking, ready, handed over. We would like a simple admin area to edit the menu, prices, and availability (mark a dish as sold out), set working hours and delivery zones, and view the order history. Please tell us which payment options you can integrate and how you handle refunds and failed payments.
