I Set Up Pottery Course Booking with Kiln Slot Reservation

I build booking systems for pottery and ceramics studios, and this setup solves a problem every studio owner knows well: the class calendar and the kiln schedule live in two different worlds, and someone has to reconcile them by hand every week. I connect the two into a single flow so that the moment a student books a seat, the studio's firing capacity is accounted for automatically.

Here's how it works. A visitor picks a format — wheel throwing or hand-building — then sees only the time slots that actually have room, both at the wheels or worktables and in the kiln queue. When they confirm and pay, the system reserves their studio spot and blocks the matching capacity in the next firing cycle, so the price already includes the bisque firing, and glaze firing too if the studio bundles it that way. No separate invoice weeks later, no awkward conversation about whose piece didn't make it into the kiln.

I build the studio's real constraints into the logic: kiln shelf capacity, firing cycle length, cooling time, and separate queues for bisque and glaze firing where needed. Overbooking is blocked at payment, not discovered afterward.
