Freight shipping cost calculator needed for a cargo transport company website

We run a cargo transport company and want to add an online calculator to our website so clients get an instant shipping cost estimate before submitting a request. A visitor enters cargo weight, volume or dimensions, plus pickup and delivery points, and sees an approximate price and estimated delivery time. Our managers spend a lot of time answering the same pricing questions by phone and email, and we would like the site to handle that first rough calculation automatically.

The calculator needs to compare tariffs across several transport types, for example a small van, a standard truck, and a larger trailer, and suggest the most suitable and cost-effective option based on the cargo entered. Pricing logic should account for route distance, cargo weight and volume, and ideally extra factors such as fragile or oversized cargo. The result should update instantly as the client adjusts the fields, without reloading the page.

We are open to discussing whether rates come from a formula, a pricing table, or an external route and distance service, as long as our staff can update tariffs later without a developer. Please include in your proposal:
