Project description
We run a mid-sized online store and we are losing sales to returns and hesitation, because customers cannot picture how a product will actually look on them or in their home before buying. We want to close that gap with an augmented-reality virtual try-on that runs directly in the mobile browser, with no app download required. The shopper opens a product page on the phone, taps a Try in AR button, grants camera access, and immediately sees the item placed in the real world: eyewear and accessories anchored to the face, and larger items such as furniture scaled correctly and placed on the floor of the room. The experience must feel instant and trustworthy, because anything slow, jittery or badly aligned will do more harm than not having the feature at all.

The work must integrate cleanly into our existing product pages rather than living as a separate microsite. We need face tracking for wearables with realistic occlusion and stable anchoring, plane detection and true-to-life scaling for room placement, and a lightweight loader so 3D models stream quickly on mobile networks. You will define the 3D asset pipeline and give us clear guidance on preparing and optimizing models, textures and materials so new products can be added by our own team without a developer every time. We also expect a graceful fallback for devices or browsers that do not support live camera AR, plus a screenshot and share option so users can save or send what they see. Analytics hooks are required so we can measure try-on opens, session length and the impact on conversion and returns.

Deliverables include the front-end module and any backend or CDN configuration, an admin-friendly way to attach a 3D model to a product, documentation, and a short handover session. Please share relevant past AR or WebAR work when you apply.
