Custom leather briefcase handmade

I sew briefcases and business folders from natural leather for a specific person, not according to a single template. Before cutting, I always discuss with the customer what actually lies in the bag day after day: a laptop of a certain size, a tablet, a notebook, a folder with contracts, business card holders, pens, a phone — and I design the internal compartments based on this layout, rather than fit the contents into a ready-made shape.

The leather is selected by hand — vegetable or chrome tanned, depending on what the item should be like: a strict briefcase with a rigid fit that holds its shape on its own, or a softer, worn-in satchel that becomes molded to your hand over time. Inside — a soft laptop pocket, a separate zip compartment for papers, pockets for cards and pen, lining made of dense cotton fabric or thin leather. I sew the seams with a saddle stitch using waxed thread by hand — such a seam does not come undone, even if one thread breaks, and I process and polish the edges rather than leave them raw.

Hardware — brass or nickel-plated steel: buckles, a clasp on the flap, a handle for carrying in hand, D-shaped rings for a removable adjustable shoulder strap, if the briefcase is also needed as a shoulder bag. Upon request, I apply initials or a small embossing with a name on the flap or inside — at no extra cost, if this is agreed upon at the start of the order. The manufacturing time is from five to twenty days depending on the complexity of the model and queue load; along the way, I send photos of the stages so there are no surprises at the end.
