Service description
I conduct aerial surveys of crops with a drone equipped with a calibrated multispectral sensor: in addition to standard RGB, it captures red, red-edge, and near-infrared channels. Based on this data, in a single flight I calculate the NDVI index (if needed — also NDRE and other vegetation indices) across the entire field and create a georeferenced thermal map of plant condition.
Such a map reveals weakened zones long before the problem becomes visible to the eye in the field. Patchy NDVI reduction most often indicates irrigation problems — clogged drippers, uneven coverage of the sprinkler system, water stagnation in low areas. Gradual yellowing of an entire section usually signals nitrogen, potassium, or micronutrient deficiency. Sharp localized hotspots are often the early stage of pests or disease: by spotting them at this stage, you can treat just a few hectares precisely rather than losing the entire area.
With each survey I provide coordinates of problem points so the agronomist or crew can go straight to the needed rows without traversing the entire field. The deliverable is a clear PDF report with a color map, brief descriptions of likely causes for each zone, and original GeoTIFF layers compatible with popular agro-GIS programs: the data integrates into your accounting system or variable-rate application controller without modification.
I plan flights according to the crop growth stage and weather so images are clean and comparable in lighting. I have the necessary pilot certifications and insurance for flights over agricultural land. Typically from flight to finished report takes several days — depending on field area and survey conditions.
