Service description
A children's room fills up with toys, books, and craft materials faster than ready-made store furniture can handle, and standard cabinets rarely fit neatly into a niche, sloped ceiling, or narrow window alcove. I design and manufacture a fully custom built-in system for a children's room, working from the actual room dimensions, the child's age, and the family's daily habits.

The project's foundation is flexible storage: a series of open compartments and labeled toy containers at a height accessible to small hands, closed cabinets higher up for items best kept away, and a shallow bookshelf with a display shelf where book covers are fully visible — this makes books more likely to be chosen and read. All shelves are mounted on adjustable supports, so the configuration can be easily changed as the child grows: today — deep containers for blocks and soft toys, in a few years — narrow sections for books and folders, without needing to buy new furniture.

Most projects include a built-in study corner: a low table designed for the child's actual height rather than a miniature copy of adult furniture, a chair or bench at the right height, space for a desk lamp, and a small cork or magnetic panel above the desk for drawings and schedules.

Safety determines the choice of every material and every structural detail. All exposed edges and corners are rounded and carefully sanded, hardware is child-safe with soft-close mechanisms without sharp catches, tall modules are rigidly attached to the wall, and all paints, stains, and varnishes have low volatile organic compounds and are certified as non-toxic after fully drying — this matters in a room where a child sleeps and plays for hours at a time.

The work begins with an on-site visit and measurements, plus a short conversation about storage habits, the child's favorite activities, and plans for the coming years. Then I send a scale drawing and material samples for approval — cutting doesn't start until you approve. The furniture is manufactured off-site and installed in one to two working days, with dust control and cleanup so the room is ready to use by evening. From approval to completed installation usually takes one to two weeks depending on scope, and at the end of the project — inspection and written care instructions for the finish.
