About the service
I will write and integrate AngelScript into your C++ engine or moddable game. AngelScript is a compact statically-typed language with C-style syntax that cleanly binds to a C++ host. This makes it ideal for game logic, custom rules, quest behavior and artificial intelligence, as well as supporting user mods without rebuilding the engine.
What's included in the work:
— Full integration of the AngelScript virtual machine into your C++ code: engine configuration, module and context management, script compilation, hot reload, and a clear error and callback handling pipeline.
— Clean host bindings: I expose your C++ classes, structures, methods, properties, enumerations, and global functions to scripts, including reference-counted types and garbage-collected handles, value types, and operator overloading.
— Game and simulation logic in AngelScript: abilities, weapons, spawn rules, score calculation, dialogues, event handlers, and data-driven configuration that a game designer can change without a programmer.
— Safe modding: isolated access, restricted namespaces, timeouts against infinite loops, and a stable documented API so the community can extend the game without breaking anything.
— Add-on integration: string, array, dictionary, ref, weakref, script builder, and serializer, plus custom add-ons for your engine.
I care about performance and correctness: I profile the boundary between script and native code, reduce allocations per frame, and keep bindings type-safe so errors surface at compile time.
