EN/RU/UK Translator & Localizer — sites, apps, docs, marketing
Service description
I am a professional translator and localizer working across English, Russian and Ukrainian, and I treat every project as more than a word-for-word swap. Over the years I have learned that a good translation is invisible: the reader never feels the seams, the jokes still land, the button labels still fit, and the brand still sounds like itself. That is the standard I hold myself to, whether I am handling a dense legal contract, a playful mobile app, a technical manual, or a landing page that has to convert.
My approach starts with understanding the source before I touch a single line. I read for intent, audience and register, then I build or reuse a glossary and a style guide so that terminology stays consistent across every screen, page and release. For software and websites I respect placeholders, variables, string length limits and pluralization rules, and I test the result in context rather than in a spreadsheet. For marketing I transcreate rather than translate literally, adapting idioms, cultural references and calls to action so the message feels native, not imported.
I communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and I am comfortable working with translation memory tools, CAT software and version control. If something in the source is ambiguous or simply wrong, I flag it instead of guessing. My goal is always the same: text that reads as if it were written in the target language from the start.
— Website and app localization (UI strings, placeholders, pluralization)
— Document translation: legal, technical, financial, medical
— Marketing and SEO transcreation for EN/RU/UK
— Glossary, style guide and terminology management
— Proofreading, editing and QA of existing translations
— Subtitles and voice-over script adaptation
