3D Print-Ready Model Designer — CAD Parts & STL Prep for FDM/Resin
Service description
I design parts and products that are actually built to be printed, not just to look good on a screen. When you send me a sketch, a photo of a broken bracket, a rough idea or a set of dimensions, I turn it into a clean parametric CAD model and then prepare it specifically for the manufacturing process you plan to use. That means I think about wall thickness, overhangs, support strategy, layer orientation and shrinkage from the very first extrusion, so the object comes off the bed strong, dimensionally accurate and ready to assemble. My focus is the printable model itself — the geometry, the fit and the file — rather than glossy marketing renders, and that difference shows up the moment your part goes on the plate.
A typical job starts with a short conversation about how the piece will be used, which printer and material it targets, and how much load or handling it has to survive. From there I model in a controlled, editable way so revisions stay cheap: change a hole size, adjust a clearance, thicken a rib, and the whole model updates without breaking. I design proper tolerances for FDM and resin separately, add fillets and chamfers where they reduce stress or ease assembly, and split larger objects into printable sections with keys, dowels or snap features when a single piece will not fit the build volume. Before delivery I run the geometry through a full check — watertight meshes, correct normals, no non-manifold edges — and export tidy STL, STEP or 3MF files at the resolution your slicer expects.
I also support you through prototyping: I read back your test prints, diagnose why a part warped, cracked at a layer line or sat too loose, and iterate the model until the fit and strength are right. Whether you need a single functional replacement component, an enclosure for electronics, a mechanical assembly with moving parts, or a small product ready for a print run, I deliver files a shop or your own printer can run without guesswork.
— Parametric CAD modeling of parts, enclosures and mechanical assemblies
— Print-oriented design for FDM and resin (walls, overhangs, orientation)
— Tolerance and clearance design for fits, threads, snaps and press-fits
— STL/mesh repair: watertight, manifold, correct normals and resolution
— Model splitting with alignment keys for large or multi-part objects
— Export to STL, STEP and 3MF ready for slicing
— Prototyping support and iteration from your test-print feedback
