Project description

We run a financial services website and need an interactive loan and mortgage calculator built for our visitors. The tool should let a potential borrower enter the loan amount, interest rate, term, and down payment, then instantly see the monthly payment, total interest paid over the life of the loan, and the full amortization schedule broken down by month or by year. This calculator will sit on our public pages and help people understand their options before they contact a manager, so it needs to feel fast and easy to use on both desktop and mobile screens.

Beyond the basic payment calculation, we want the ability to compare several scenarios side by side — for example, a 15-year term against a 30-year term, or different down payment amounts — so visitors can see how each choice affects their monthly budget and total cost of borrowing. The calculator should support both annuity and differentiated payment schemes, since these are common in our market.

We already have a design system and brand colors, so the calculator needs to match our existing site style rather than look like a plugin bolted on top. Clean code is important because our in-house team will maintain it going forward.

Key requirements:
— monthly payment, total interest, and full amortization table
— scenario comparison by term, rate, and down payment
— annuity and differentiated payment modes
— responsive layout matching our current design
— input validation and clear error messages

How to write a response that gets picked

  • Open with the client’s task, not with a story about yourself.
  • Link one or two similar works from your portfolio.
  • Name a price and a deadline — and what exactly they include.
  • Ask one clarifying question: it starts the conversation.
