About the service
I specialize in personalized embroidery for newborns and christenings: I turn ordinary blankets, christening gowns, and keepsakes into unique family heirlooms. I embroider names, birth dates, baby's weight and height, monograms, and small decorative elements — crosses, doves, stars, floral borders. I work with quality polyester and viscose thread on soft, baby-safe fabrics: cotton, muslin, minky, and satin.
The process begins with a brief discussion of fabric, text, and occasion — baptism, a gift for hospital discharge, or a commemorative gift for a first birthday. After that, I send a digital mockup with the chosen font, thread color, and exact placement of the design for approval, and embroidery only begins after your confirmation. I work on a professional embroidery machine, adjusting the hoop tension for fabric type — this is important for the delicate fabric of a christening gown to avoid puckering, and for minky so the material doesn't shift under the needle.
The service includes: design selection or digitization from my library of fonts and motifs, one free mockup revision, neat embroidery with thread trimming and final pressing, plus a photo of the finished piece before shipping. Standard execution time is from five to seven business days depending on workload, and if the item is needed by a specific date for the ceremony, I always confirm a firm deadline in advance.
My portfolio includes monograms on christening gowns for twins, a blanket with a full name and birth record in a decorative frame, as well as a set of bibs and hooded towels embroidered to match an already finished gown. If you send me your own blanket or gown, I first assess the fabric and honestly tell you whether the embroidery will lay neatly on it. I wrap the finished piece in tissue paper — ready to give as a gift.
