Project description
What I want as a result: the thuja wall cut back to an even trapezoid profile, one metre eighty high with a wider base so the lower branches keep some light; the hornbeam section squared off with a clean straight top line; six boxwood bushes returned to spheres of a consistent diameter, and two of them, if the wood allows it, shaped into simple cones. Two young thuja near the terrace I would like to start training into a spiral. I understand this is a multi-season job and I am ready to plan it that way rather than expect a finished shape in one visit.
Please include the removal of every branch and all the cuttings from the plot in your price; burning them on site is not an option, the neighbouring house is close. The work should happen in late August or the first half of September, well outside the frost period, over two or three working days. I would also like a written schedule of follow-up visits: my understanding is that a formal hedge needs two cuts a season, and I would rather agree the whole year at once than look for somebody new every time.
In your reply please tell me what tools you use, how you keep the top line straight over ninety metres, whether you bring your own ladder or platform, and what you suggest doing about the bald shaded side of the thuja.
