Project description
The job requires a multirotor drone equipped with a radiometric infrared camera (minimum 320x240 thermal resolution, ideally 640x480) paired with a visible-light camera for side-by-side comparison images. Flights should be scheduled early morning or right after sunset, when the temperature differential between indoor and outdoor air is highest and residual solar heating has dissipated — this is essential for accurate heat-loss mapping rather than surface noise from daytime sun exposure.
Deliverables: a full set of geotagged thermal and visual photo pairs covering every roof plane and the garage membrane, a short video flyover, and a written report identifying suspected insulation voids, thermal bridging at rafters and ridge vents, moisture intrusion signs, and any recommended follow-up (added insulation, sealing, or roof repair). We would like the report to include an overlay map marking problem zones by severity so we can prioritize contractor work.
Please include your drone operator certification, sample thermal reports from prior roof inspections, and your camera model in the proposal. Turnaround of one to two weeks including report delivery is expected, weather permitting for the required clear, calm evening conditions.
