Project description
TranslatedThe property is a single private home with a standard 200-amp service entrance. We would like to select a generator that covers the full home load: well pump, heating boiler fan, refrigerator, freezer, basement sump pump, as well as general lighting and outlets, rather than just a few separate circuits. If full home coverage proves impractical with the current service capacity, we are open to discussing a priority panel that automatically shuts off secondary circuits when power is insufficient.
The scope of work should include a specialist's site visit to assess the existing panel and service capacity, selection of a generator with adequate kilowatt output, choosing an installation location meeting setbacks from windows, doors and combustible materials, connection of the fuel line (natural gas or liquefied gas — we will clarify what is available on site), installation of the ATS panel next to the main distribution panel, and complete cable routing between the generator, ATS panel and main panel.
We expect the contractor to independently obtain necessary permits, coordinate the gas connection with the utility, and arrange a final inspection after completion. Please indicate your experience with whole-house projects, the make and model of equipment you typically install, estimated delivery timeframe, and separate quotes for labor and materials.
We also want a test run simulating grid failure after installation, explanation of the weekly self-test cycle and maintenance schedule, and written documentation of warranty and recommended annual service. Noise level and location relative to neighbors' windows matter, so please provide the expected noise level of your proposed model in decibels.
Timeline is negotiable, but we would like to complete the work within a reasonable number of weeks from contract signing, accounting for permits and possible equipment delays. Before selecting a contractor, we need references from similar past projects, proof of license and insurance, and written warranty on both labor and equipment.
