Project description

My bike has been sitting for a while and I want it road-ready again, but I don't have time to bring it to a shop or wait around while it's serviced. I'm looking for a professional mobile bicycle mechanic who can come directly to my home, bring their own tools and stand, and get everything sorted in one visit.

The bike needs a full tune-up. The brakes feel spongy and need adjusting or new pads if worn, the gears skip and need indexing, and the chain looks dry and possibly stretched, so please check whether it needs replacing along with the cassette if worn. I'd also like the tires checked for correct pressure, tread wear, and any small cuts or embedded debris, plus a general safety inspection of the frame, wheels, spokes, headset, and bottom bracket.

I want someone reliable who explains what they're doing, uses quality parts if replacements are needed, and leaves the bike clean and safe to ride afterward. Please bring your own tools and any common replacement parts (cables, pads, chain) in case they're needed, and let me know in advance roughly how long the visit will take.

What I need done:
— Adjust or replace brake pads and cables as needed
— Tune and index the gears and derailleurs
— Inspect, lubricate, or replace the chain and cassette
— Check and inflate tires to correct pressure, inspect tread
— Full safety check: wheels, spokes, headset, bottom bracket, bolts
— Clean the drivetrain and give general maintenance advice

How to write a response that gets picked

  • Open with the client’s task, not with a story about yourself.
  • Link one or two similar works from your portfolio.
  • Name a price and a deadline — and what exactly they include.
  • Ask one clarifying question: it starts the conversation.
