Project description

I run a small furniture workshop that builds kitchens to order, and right now every price estimate is done by hand in a spreadsheet — it takes too long and often doesn't match what the customer eventually sees. I want an online calculator that customers can open right on the website, enter the parameters of their future kitchen, and immediately see an approximate project cost without calling and waiting for a manager to reply.

The calculator needs to account for real kitchen set parameters: dimensions (length, height, depth, or the total run in linear meters), facade material (foil-wrapped MDF, painted/enamel, solid wood, veneer, plastic), countertop type and material (chipboard laminate, artificial or natural stone, quartz), a hardware package (soft-close hinges, drawer runners in budget or premium tiers), built-in lighting (number and type of LED strips or fixtures), plus assembly and delivery cost within the city or region. The final price must recalculate instantly whenever any parameter changes, with no page reload, and show a clear breakdown by cost item rather than just one total number.

Besides the calculator itself I need a simple admin section where a manager can update base prices per linear meter, and pricing for material and hardware options, without involving a developer — furniture market prices shift often, and either the site's developer or the manager should be able to update them through a basic panel. The finished estimate should be saved as a lead with the customer's contact details and sent by email or into a CRM.

Requirements:
— step-by-step calculator for kitchen parameters (dimensions, facade material, countertop, hardware, lighting);
— assembly and delivery cost calculation by address or district;
— instant recalculation of the total with no page reload;
— responsive layout for mobile devices;
— saving each estimate as a lead in the database and sending it to email/CRM;
— simple admin panel for editing prices and coefficients;
— clean visual design matching a furniture-store look, with custom colors and fonts;
— protection against fake submissions (captcha or similar check).

How to write a response that gets picked

  • Open with the client’s task, not with a story about yourself.
  • Link one or two similar works from your portfolio.
  • Name a price and a deadline — and what exactly they include.
  • Ask one clarifying question: it starts the conversation.
