We run a car wash and detailing studio and want an interactive calculator on our website that lets visitors estimate the price and duration of a service before they book. The tool should ask the client to pick a body type — sedan, crossover, or minivan — because larger vehicles take longer and cost more to clean properly, and then let them choose from a set of services such as an express exterior wash, interior dry cleaning of upholstery and carpets, and body polishing. Depending on the combination selected, the calculator should instantly show the final price and the approximate time the service will take, so customers know what to expect before they even call us.
The logic needs to be simple to maintain: body type acts as a price multiplier, each service has its own base cost and duration, and combining several services should also apply a small bundle discount so customers are encouraged to order more than a single service. We would like a clean, mobile-friendly design that matches our existing site, clear labels in plain language, and a summary block that recalculates live as options are toggled, without a page reload.
What we expect from the calculator:
— selectable body type: sedan, crossover, minivan, each with its own pricing coefficient
— checkboxes for express wash, interior dry cleaning, polishing, and other services we may add later
— live recalculation of total price and estimated time as choices change
— a simple admin-side settings screen for prices so we can update them ourselves without a developer
— a responsive layout that works well on phones, since most visitors book from mobile devices
