Project description

Translated
We're looking for an experienced developer to create a web dashboard for IoT monitoring that collects readings from sensors and connected devices, stores them as time series, and displays them clearly in a convenient web interface. Our devices publish measurements — temperature, humidity, pressure, energy consumption — via the MQTT protocol, so we need a reliable service that subscribes to topics, parses incoming packets, and writes data to a time-series database without losing messages during traffic spikes.

The heart of the project is the dashboard itself. It should display live, automatically updated charts for each parameter, allow switching time ranges and comparing multiple devices side by side. We need configurable thresholds: when a value goes beyond a warning or critical boundary, the system raises an alarm, highlights the problematic device, and sends a notification. The interface must remain responsive with dozens of devices transmitting data simultaneously, so efficient WebSocket updates and reasonable aggregation are important. Historical snapshots, thinning for long periods, and simple data export are also part of the scope.

Please send examples of similar real-time or IoT projects, your preferred stack, and realistic time estimates. We expect clean documented code and a short deployment guide.

— MQTT reception service with topic subscription and reconnection
— Time-series storage with retention policies and thinning
— Real-time dashboard with charts, thresholds and alerts
— WebSocket updates and historical data export

How to write a response that gets picked

  • Open with the client’s task, not with a story about yourself.
  • Link one or two similar works from your portfolio.
  • Name a price and a deadline — and what exactly they include.
  • Ask one clarifying question: it starts the conversation.
