Handyman for hire — I take care of the small household jobs that never quite get done: hanging shelves, curtain rails, mirrors and pictures, swapping a mixer tap, installing or wiring a socket and a switch, assembling and securing furniture. I work in flats and houses tidily and without unnecessary mess: I arrive with my own tools, clean up after myself and do not damage walls or furniture.
These tasks usually pile up bit by bit and together add up to half a day: tightening cabinet hinges, adjusting a plastic window, replacing the trap under a sink, putting up a drying rack or holders in the bathroom, fitting a light fixture, installing a door closer or a peephole. I will take on a single urgent job or a whole list around the flat in one visit, which is more convenient for you and easier on the budget.
Before I start I will tell you honestly what can realistically be done today and where a material or a specialist is needed, and agree on a quote with no surprises at the end. I choose fixings to suit your wall — concrete, brick or plasterboard — so a shelf still holds its weight a month later.
