About the service
I offer a service of complete hand transformation of wooden furniture — dressers, cabinets, chairs, tables, nightstands and bed headboards. If a piece has a solid foundation but peeling paint or outdated appearance, I don't recommend throwing it away: instead it gets a second life with a custom design matched to your interior and character.
Work begins with a brief discussion of the piece, its condition and desired look: botanical motifs, geometric patterns, folk-style ornaments, stripes, smooth color transitions, oriental themes or a completely individual illustration. I can work from references and mood boards or suggest my own idea for your space.
Any project goes through proper surface preparation — without this stage even the most beautiful painting will crack and peel over time. This includes cleaning, sanding or removing old gloss, filling dents and chips, as well as priming so the paint adheres stably. Only after this is the base coat applied and the painting itself — in layers, with brushes and paints designed specifically for furniture.
When the design is ready and completely dry, I apply a protective coating — wax or a durable water-based formula, depending on how the piece will be used going forward. This allows the surface to withstand daily wear, accidental moisture and years of use without losing color and design details. Hardware can be cleaned, repainted or replaced with something more suitable — I'll suggest options based on your budget.
This service is for those who want to preserve a meaningful or quality piece instead of buying new, for those updating a room on a limited budget, and for anyone who dreams of furniture that can't be found in an ordinary store. I take on both individual pieces and small sets — for example, a dresser and nightstand in a unified style or a set of dining chairs.
Timelines depend on the size of the piece and design complexity — I'll give you an accurate time and cost estimate after seeing photos of the furniture and discussing the concept. Clear shots in good lighting from several angles, as well as the piece's dimensions, will help me assess the project more accurately from the first message.
