About the service
I design and install a unified network of interconnected carbon monoxide detectors for an apartment, private house or multi-story building — instead of a single standalone detector you get a system that simultaneously monitors all levels and all sleeping areas.
Work begins with a site inspection: I identify gas appliances, boiler room, attached garage and fireplace, then compile a detector placement plan taking into account installation height, distance from ceiling and ventilation openings.
Each detector is connected via wired connection or unified via wireless communication so that when one detector activates, the alarm signal sounds simultaneously on all others — residents on any floor hear the signal immediately, not a muffled beep from a distant room.
I configure the central hub or gateway, which sends push-notifications and SMS to family members, and if necessary to an on-call contact, plus backup power from batteries so the network continues to operate during power outages.
The work includes testing each detector with a calibrated test method, recording the installation date and sensor replacement date, as well as a brief instruction for residents — how to silence the alarm, test the device and distinguish between different types of alarm signals.
I also conduct diagnostics and maintenance of already installed detectors with expired sensor service life and can integrate the network with an existing smart home hub so alarms display alongside other safety notifications.
Both one-time installation and annual scheduled inspection options are available, confirming the operability of each detector and the reliability of the backup power supply.
